Idaho glows in October. Rabbit brush, aspens, maples, fireweed....The nights are in the 30's this week, with an inch of melty snow forecast for tonight. The wood stove is being used, so of course the creamy drinks have to come out. Whatever kind. I've had warm soy milk with nutmeg and cardamom, coffee with eggnog, Scottish black tea with milk, plain old hot chocolate (this one!), decaff coffee with maple syrup and cream....
And I've gotten out, including an unintended "bagging" of one of the 4 Boise Grand Slam peaks, Lucky Peak. (I ate a banana and the best Kind bar: chocolate cherry cashew.)
Mark and I are heading north tomorrow for an explore week in Hope, Idaho, on Lake Pend Oreille. Almost to Canadia!
